Animal and Range Sciences Department Head Search

The MSU College of Agriculture is conducting a nationwide search for a Head of the Department of Animal and Range Sciences.  The Department of Animal and Range Sciences (A&RS) is one of seven units in the College of Agriculture with 14 tenured/tenure-track faculty.  While the department research encompasses several areas of animal and range sciences, the primary emphasis is on animal physiology (cattle, equine), animal nutrition (cattle, sheep), and range ecology.  The on-campus teaching program has five undergraduate options within two majors with an enrollment of 210 students and 22 M.S. and Ph.D. students.  The outreach education program focuses on livestock production and range management in partnership with Montana constituents.
